Analytics & Tracking
Know exactly what your marketing is delivering.
Measure what matters with proper tracking.
What is Analytics & Tracking?
Analytics tells you how people find your site and what they do next. Tracking tells you which marketing actually produced the enquiry. Between the two sits every sensible budget decision you will ever make, which is why this is the least visible and most consequential service on this site.
Most setups I inherit are quietly wrong
Duplicate conversions, forms that fire on page load rather than submission, phone calls not counted at all, ad platforms grading their own homework and claiming each other's sales. The business then makes reasonable decisions on unreasonable numbers. Fixing that first means every decision after it rests on something real, and it regularly changes which channel looks like the winner.
What a proper setup includes
GA4 configured around your actual goals rather than the defaults, conversion events for the actions that matter (calls, forms, bookings, orders), call tracking where the phone is the business, Google Ads and Meta wired to the same definitions so nobody double-counts, and consent handled in line with UK privacy rules so measurement and compliance stop fighting each other.
Reports a human can read
You get one view that answers the owner's questions: how many enquiries this month, from where, at what cost, trending which way. No forty-page exports, no vanity metrics leading the page. When something moves, the report says so in a sentence, not a scatter plot.
Do this before spending more
If you are about to raise an ad budget or commit to SEO, set the measurement right first; it is a one-off job that makes every later pound accountable. It is also the least reversible thing to skip, because the data you fail to collect this quarter is gone for good.
